Birds in Microdelta , Constanta ,Romania
Situated against a natural environment along some 4 ha, on the shore of the Tăbăcărie Lake, the Microdelta holds birds typical of the Danube Delta. It presents a large collection of aquatic fauna specific to the Black Sea and the Danube Delta, as well as numerous species of exotic fishes. One can find the largest sturgeon collection in the world. It gives performances with trained dolphins which live in the Black Sea. There one can understandthe mechanisms of astronomy. As a symbol of creation, of begetting life, the egg have inspired, from ancient times, numerous legends, fairy-tales, an entire literature. In the romanian culture it is sufficient to mention two outstanding representants: Constantin Brancusi and Ion Barbu, whose works orbit around this subject, considered to have perfect geometrical form - the perfect object. The origin of egg-painting is lost in the darkness of the pre-Christian era, when the New Year was celebrated at the vernal equinox.
