In this eTwinning project the students from all countries will get to know each other by writing on the twinspace. They will introduce themselves and their schools. Then they will begin to share different scientific experiments that they perform at school. Topics in common are "Acids and Alkalis" and "Chemical Reactions". They will also share other experiments from different topics. They will do this by writing down the experimental report, filming and uploading the video clip of the experiment and posting feed back to each other commenting about what they like, what they would improve and what they didn't like. At the end of the project (about June) there will be an online competition and all the students will vote for their favourite experiment and say why they chose it. We will have a final winner! ! ! !

Malta's work

Posted by: Josephine Ebejer Grech

Till now Malta did the following work in this project:

1.  presented our country by a power point presentation uploaded on slideshare

2.  presented our school by text on the blog, and by a video clip

3.  uploaded video clips about the following experiments:

a.  Introducing acids and alkalis - and using different indicators to test acids and alkalis

b.  Testing different things that we use in our everyday life to see if they are acids or alkalis

c.  Preparing our own indicator using a red cabbage

d.  Observing the effect of acid on metal

e.  Observing the effect of acid on carbonate

Other Biology experiments:

a.  Observing onion epidermis under the microscope

b.  Observing diffusion in a gas.

I also uploaded some power point presentations that the students did.

The students are collaborating a lot in this eTwinning project.  They are entering the twinspace, seeing all the Italian and Maltese experiments and commenting on them.  They are doing very good work.  I'm proud of my students :-)

More work in the pipeline.
