Poldy Our Classroom Scarecrow - Dorianne Agius

Posted by: Dorianne Galea (Agius)
Picture

We did our scarecrow from recycled materials like garbage-bags, newspapers, potato-sacks and clothing we no longer used.  First i did a wooden structure so that we could build the structure with the frame.  We used soil so we could put the scarecrow in it.  The children filled up the empty garbage-bags with rolled up newspapers.  We then filled up the shirt and jeans with the filled-up garbage-bags.

I made sure everything was safe for the children and that it was safely secure so we would keep our scarecrow for a long time within our class.  I then did some blusher...

This is a class collage i did with my children for the rememberance of St. Paul's Shipwreck in Malta ( 10 th February) ...

We used paint, glue, string, rounded scissors and pieces of different coloured papers.  We first traced the figure of a child onto cartonboard and then we adjusted the shape to transform the fgiure look more like St. Paul.

Then we did all the paintings and gluing!  The children learned more about our country, (Malta) and its history, and they had great fun while doing this activitiy.
