The role of the school library and information programs and services is to facilitate the planning and implementation of learning programs that will equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in a constantly changing social and economic environment. Through resource-based programs, students acquire skills to collect, critically analyse and organise information, problem-solve and communicate their understandings. Provide and promotes quality fiction to develop and sustain in students the habit and enjoyment of reading for pleasure and to enrich students intellectual, aesthetic, cultural and emotional growth. Cater for differences in learning and teaching styles through the provision of and equality of access to, a wide range of materials, fiction and non fiction, print, audio, video and digital.

As part of the educational activities of the library, students circle the theater run by the library on September 19 took part in theatrical workshops. The classes were organized by the Community Centre- MOK in Zawiercie. The classes were run by the actors who work in the Theatre in Katowice called ‘ The Theatre of Play and People”. It's a tradition that in Poland ,,e-Twinning Weeks 2011" take place in October. All Polish schools and kintergardens join this celebration. On this occasion, our students made some posters and our ,,Radio Star" station will play a radio broadcast and organise a contest for the students.
To day, we started the project in our school (pupils 5-6). We've invited the whole class to the library to show "Roule galette" and "The little round bun". We decided to create a new version of this story.

In October we promote Polish writers. We made an exhibitions: about poet Tadeusz Różewicz, who celebrated 90th birthday and novelist Maria Dąbrowska (School Patron). We prepared the short quiz about her biography.
We started the project. In our school (students 16-19) we chose the author connected with Polish language program - Adam Mickiewicz. Girls made Power Point presentation. They used books, articles, scanned photos in our library. The 3rd of October they invited the whole class to the library and showed the presentation (using projector). Students are translating the presentation into English.
