Caustic

In this eTwinning project the students from all countries will get to know each other by writing on the twinspace. They will introduce themselves and their schools. Then they will begin to share different scientific experiments that they perform at school. Topics in common are "Acids and Alkalis" and "Chemical Reactions". They will also share other experiments from different topics. They will do this by writing down the experimental report, filming and uploading the video clip of the experiment and posting feed back to each other commenting about what they like, what they would improve and what they didn't like. At the end of the project (about June) there will be an online competition and all the students will vote for their favourite experiment and say why they chose it. We will have a final winner! ! ! !

another video clip

Posted by: Josephine Ebejer Grech

I just uploaded another video clip of my students performing an activity to observe diffusion in a gas.  Now I invite all Italian and Maltese students to comment about this experiment.  Especially about safety precautions that could have been followed.

Publicity to all students

Posted by: Josephine Ebejer Grech

Last Monday it rained heavily in Malta.  All the students who attended to school were all asked to stay in the main hall.  So I took the opportunity to talk to them.  I told them what is eTwinning, and told them about our project.  I also told them that I was invited by Malta's NSS to speak about good eTwinning practices on the 20th November during the conference that will be held in Malta and to which some Mediterranean teachers will attend.

The Maltese Education Officer of Biology asked me about this project last Tuesday and I invited her as a teacher member to be able to access the twinspace and add comments in it.

feedback

Posted by: Josephine Ebejer Grech

Today is the 9th October, and I think that we are doing well.  Yesterday I had a meeting with Malta's NSS and she taught me how to use the twinspace better.

Till now we introduced our school and ourselves.  The Italian group also introduced their city that is a very nice one indeed.  We enjoyed watching your video clip.

Malta described our first two experiments of topic "Acids and Alkalis" but I found a problem.  First I uploaded them on Youtube and then embedded them on the twinspace but I realised that like this students can copy the video clip...
