ICT, You and Me

This project aims to improve pupils' skills in Information and Communication Technologies, Maths and foreign languages. Through creating films, presentations, videos and surveys, collating data about themselves with the help of online statistical tools, pupils learn about cultural differences and similarities of their partner schools in other countries in an enjoyable way. Presenting and comparing their lifestyles also gives pupils the opportunity to raise awareness about the positive health effects of good nutrition and sport, as well as adopt healthy habits.

May all the joys of this glorious season be yours. Happy Easter to Everyone!

Before Easter we took a lot of beautiful spring photos which we used for creating interactive greeting cards for our partners (Smilebox). Some of the pupils decided to prepare their own wishes using their favourite services (Voki and ImageChef).

Chats with online drawing

Last week we had a chat with the Spanish and Latvian partners about our schools and hobbies. To organize it, we used a special collaborative drawing web application. What made it particularly fun was that we could draw together with our foreign friends in real-time. The final product of our conversation was an Easter picture. We enjoyed this activity so much that after a few days we decided to do that again. This time the Polish and Latvian teams created a spring drawing.

Europa's holiday postcards

Posted by: Barbara Głuszcz

After creating the map of Europa's journey across Europe we began preparing animations and glogs with greetings from all of the partner countries written on behalf of our statistical eTwinner, Europa. While creating interactive holiday postcards, we used the photos and information our partners had shared with us. As all of us like day dreaming about summertime, we got a lot of  satisfaction from this activity. It allowed us to temporarily escape and get through the really busy moments. We also learnt a lot about the most interesting places in our partners' countries.

"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."  (Saint Augustine)

Although it was still cold outside in March, we started dreaming of a hot summer with a lot of sunshine. First we organized online brainstorming about our dream holiday destinations. Then we chose the best places to visit in our countries and planned a route of Europa's (the statistical participant of our project) journey across Europe. Finally, we created two interactive maps, the first one with videos about our countries and the second one with photos of the most interesting sights visited by Europa....

Romania April Activities

This month was very busy to us.

First, we uploaded many photos from Romania and our town, Slatina. All partners did the same. After that, we wrote holydays greetings on the behalf of our average eTwinner Europa, who visited all partner countries. We used Smilebox to create greeting cards from Poland, Greece, Latvia and Spain. We have not send cards from Romania, but other partners did. Was so fun using our partners photos and informations to create these cards! We wrote and received comments to our works. Cool!

Second, we created new surveys using obsurvey.com, like Astronomy Survey, Seasons Surveys and quizes...
