Cultural and linquistic diversity

On March 10^th, as a part of PIYE program, our school was visited by a large, nearly 100-person group of Tel Aviv students. We were brought together by a number of artistic and social activities, such as learning national dances or having a traditional dinner. Two days of sharing Israel and Polish cultural heritages proved to be a truly unforgettable and rewarding experience.

Our volleyball school team won the fourth place in the women's secondary school volleyball matches in Lublin and its region.

The team has been prepared by our PE teacher - Mrs Małgorzata Parcheta. Congratulations!

Tomorrow our women's volleyball school team is going to Biłgoraj to play an important match. GOOD LUCK!!!

Students from our school have found out information about one of our project partner Bulgaria. Two students - Agnieszka Zdeb and Paula Wielopolska presented Bulgarian history and geography in the form of a poster.

The students have worked under the supervision of our IT teacher Mr Robert Welman.

In our school a training promoter from the Euroschool with Schuman led an informational and educational campaign about the Euro currency. The students took part in the workshops. They have been prepared for bringing in the Euro in Poland. What's more, the students had a great opportunity to promote European integration, learn team work skills, shape an attitude of a young European citizen and ...

On the 2nd March 2011 our school took part in the 3rd edition of the Second Life - transplantation program. We had workshops in a school library. Students discussed with the Cracow's coordinator of transplantation (I. Milaniak) and listened to the patient - Mrs Małgorzata, who received the second chance  some years ago.

Medical information led to positive attitude toward organ donation and transplantation.

On 8th March 2011 we will receive a workshop on a range of themes concerning the EURO. The goal is to promote the idea of European intergation and European education. We'd like to prepare young people for bringing in the Euro currency.

Last Friday, 25.02, we had a great time participating in our annual art festival: FeTA 2011. This year event was a tribute to Sławomir Mrożek, an acknowledged Polish dramatist. Students put on some of the author's most famous plays.

At the end of January, just before the winter break, we were visited by foreign students as a part of the AIESEC program. Our friends from China, Georgia and Ukraine discussed multicultural awareness in order to stop prejudice among young people.
