An e-twinning meeting with parents and grandparents

The end of the school year is a good opportunity to evaluate the results of our project, although it is not finished yet.

That is why we invited our parents and grandparents to show them what we managed and what we learned.

The atmosphere of the meeting was very pleasant and when the children got their presents for gaining the "quality label", everybody went home with good feeling of well done work.

We worked on two topics: "My Day" and "My Week".

The Czech pupils wrote how they spend their typical days and drew pictures to illustrate them.

The Polish pupils meanwhile described their weekly routines. The Czech children read what they wrote and drew pictures on this topic.

The output of both projects are powerpoint presentations.

A video called "Our School" is being shot. All our pupils worked together on a preparation of the script. After it was ready the most interesting part of this project took place: we were going round our school shooting the passages taking place at various spaces of the school.

We enjoyed a lot of fun!!

The topic of this month is the Easter. The Czech pupils prepared  Easter cards slide show. They tried to be creative and it was fun.

Our polish partners promised us to send their Easter cards by post. We are looking forward for them.

The Czech children were curious how the Polish celebrate Easter, so we decided to prepare presentations of this topic. The task for the partners will be to draw pictures of celebrating easter in the other country.

February is not a very good month for the project work as both schools have their winter holidays.

Nevertheless the Polish children prepared a Czech-Polish dictionary and the Czechs are going to fill in Czech expressions there. The Czech pupils had a lot of fun reading the Polish words.

We are still working on the presentation of our town.

We have returned after the Christmas holidays and set to work. We solved the Polish quiz about their Christmas customs and started to prepare another topic: Our town. We went for a long walk in our town and the pupils were making photos. Now we are going to work with them and prepare a commented videopresentation.

A Christmas Recipe

Both schools wanted to present their partner part of their typical christmas cuisine. The Czechs decided to prepare one kind of Czech christmas sweets. The children brought all they needed and went with their teacher to the school kitchenette where they prepared the "Coconut balls". All was carefully documented with a camera. Both schools exchanged parcels with postcards and small presents.

We are working on presentations of how Christmas is celebrated in our countries and to test the newly gained knowledge about the Christmas culture in our partners´country we are preparing short quizes.

We are finishing our first project - about me. Children of both schools drew their portraits and wrote basic information about themselves and their voices were recorded. Then the schools prepared questionaires for each other so as the children could get to know their partners better.

The Polish pupils managed to fill them in better,  we have to do better next time!
